This movie is about a guy and a girl who hate each other but are forced to stay together to look after their friends daughter after the couple dies in a car accident. This premise of inappropriate parents has been done to death and the movie does not throw up any surprises in terms of either story or emotional complexity. There will be poop gags and touching moments with the baby and since this one is about a couple (as opposed to say 3 men taking care of a baby) there will be some romance. Ho hum.
The movie is slow in picking up and the end just sort of peters out as if it got tired of itself and decided to call it a day and go to bed. Maybe if it was shorter it would have been more engaging.
However, its not all that bad. It may appeal to people with kids. If you happen to stumble into this one because there were no tickets for any other movie ( fat chance of that happening these days, though)and you dont want to go back then you wont do too badly with this one. Otherwise, wait till they show it on HBO.
