I only heard about this animated character yesterday, and am totally surprised by how many people adore him. Shinchan Nohara is a Chinese cartoon who uses crude and abusive humor. Why he finds a lot many takers amongst kids is obviously because nobody suspects a cartoon to be dishing out mildly adult fare. Typical Shinchan behavior includes mooning himself (clearly he is not past the Freudian anal stage) and offering quick retorts.
The film is an adventure where the kid is travelling with his family and friends. Everybody gets kidnapped by simian vilains and its up to Shinchan to rescue everybody.
The graphics are simply archaic and effortless. It is evident that there is no work involved in creating a Shinchan animation and thats why Shinchan episodes are available dime a dozen. The humor is perverse (you can get an idea by looking at other story titles (Tampons on sale, Pee Strike). There is an attempt to guise these in the Hindi dubbings, however. I suppose we are to laugh at the perverse behaviour of the kid.
This is strictly for hardcore Shinchan fans, and I think that even they are better off watching these on TV. I do not recommend it for kids anyways (the film is promoted as a children's flick and has a U/A rating), but then it seems times have changed. We had much better stuff to watch when we were young, like Duck Tales and Talespin.
