Most of you would want to know how is Sunny Leone in the film. The answer to that lies in her porn films not in this headache inducing film masquerading as an erotic thriller.
Izna (Sunny Leone) is a porn star. Sadly, we dont see her at work. She is picked up at a bar by Ayaan (Arunoday Singh) to work for the intelligence agency and set up as a honey trap against Kabir (Randeep Hooda). What follows is a mix of unintentional humor, dialogues that belong in a Deepak Chopra book and bad acting at its worst.
Pooja Bhatt is not good at direction and she has proved that with 4 films already. Here at least she had a beautiful looking Sunny Leone. She could have at least used her as eye candy and given us some adult entertainment. She also had two hunks for the female gaze but she makes no use of it.
With dialogues like har jism ka ek expiry date hota hai and woh mera samundar hai to words like jalalat and mayaar being used this is dialogue writing that belongs to a different space. In one of the scenes Arif Zakaria talks about Randeep Hooda by saying he was the best the emotion with which he delivered that line felt as if he had slept with him.
Sunny Leone could easily become the brand ambassador for Baba Ramdevs breathing exercises. Be it Pain, joy, hurt, love or lust every emotion is portrayed by breathing heavily. It is only through her breathing you can try to gauge what emotions she is portraying.
Randeep Hooda got a new lease of life with Once upon a time in Mumbai and Sahib biwi aur gangster and Jannat 2 helped him in solidifying that phase. This one is a bumpy speed breaker for him. Arunoday Singh is yet to find his space in terms of roles and characters he should be doing. His dialogue delivery is forced and at times unintentionally funny.
