Verdict - A one time view.
Yet another addition to the obsessive parents desiring an NRI son- in - law .Isn't the gender ratio favourable within to select a suitable guy with all the riches in the world. Why go for an imported guy.
Here Sweetie Desai( Zoya Afroz) is in a relationship with her college mate Akash Patel( Himansh Kohli). She is the only child of her wealthy Gujarati parents ( Darshan Zariwala and Kiran Juneja). The daughter is hesitant to express her choice though she dominates her boy friend ,this despite her parents desperate to marry her off to the first available NRI,that to residing in Britain. Why? Don't ask.
Many suitors are rejected. The desperation increases.Comes a fake suitor whom Sweetie is prepared to marry. Why? To her a fake suitor ( Ankit Arora) is better than a coward( the desi guy). What's the end ? Go see for your self.
Upto a point the humour engages, but no more.Too many forced 'twists' become a farce. It's surprisingly that the parents make no enquiries from independent sources to confirm the antecedents of the eligible suitors.Even the HR departments of MNCs do a thorough recee before hiring their personnel.None shones in performances.Zoya continues to be a weepy throughout.Himansh is light weight.Their pairing is a must match. The parents over act through out.The spoken word is gutter verbose. All the songs are mere fillers. They don't enhance the narrative, however shallow it be.
The two one liners this reviewer regards a mention are ' technology can never reflect emotions ' and ' have seen many love stories blooming in the fore noon and breaking in the afternoon in colleges'( says a college teacher).
At best Sweetie --- could be a single watch.
