The source of inspiration being the game by Ubisoft Corporation,the movie fell short of the expectations.For people who did not play this awesome game series,the movie is a new concept and a totally new aspect of action. Some people might actually like it very much.
But for a true "Prince of Persia" fan,the movie fails to live upto its legacy.The idea of showing the price a drunkard and a jester in many parts of the movie, completely destroys the aura that the game created. The prince is suppose to be a noble warrior petrified by his life and his new encounter with the dimension of time.
Moreover the dialogs are pathetic,people doing monday and tuesday in that era and that too in Persia is not actually logical.
Also the way the story ends is actually quite different from the game,maybe they rectify it in the next movie. But for a bird's view, the movie is good for whom who didn't play the game and a dissapointment for those who are POP fans (except a couple of action sequence).
Rating: Watchable (just once)
