It's all said and done so many times that audience is now bored of this typical storyline where wives try to teach their unfaithful husbands a lesson. Another thing that we are bored of is Akshay Kumar doing same kind of scripts every time; his jokes, action, performance has become so clichd that he really needs to give something fresh to the viewers NOW.

Despite of keeping 'Mr. Singh is King' in his flick, Aneez Bazmee's 'Thank You' will not do much on Box Office. The problem is not only with the worn-out thought but also with the script, as there is nothing new in it.

The only surprise element was Mr. Shetty, who was like a house-on-fire! He was the only one who kept the movie going for me. After a long time he is seen in a movie and got to say he enjoyed doing it. His slapstick comedy definitely did improve the momentum of the film and added good humour to it.

Speaking of the three leading ladies; Sonam Kapoor did not fit the role she was given, Rimi Sen was average and Celina Jaitely had least to do. Our males ; Irrfan Khan was good in his very own 'clueless' acting and undoubtedly nobody can surpass him on that, Akshay Kumar was not that effective, he needs to give something better & audience is bored of watching 'the same old him' and Bobby Deol urgently need some lessons on 'how to do a comedy film' before we get another disaster from him.

Footer: Sunil Shetty stole the show but it's sad to see that none of the other actors supported him else audiences would surely have said 'Thank You' to the film-makers.

When you get one superhit formula, you want to milk it dry. Anees Bazmee is on a similar mission, and the cash cow that he is still banking upon is 'No Entry'. He has built 4-5 flicks since then on similar lines: a huge starcast consisting of 45 plus actors and 30 minus heroines, two-bit names drawn from various signages like Welcome, Ready, No Problem and now Thank you. Ta-ta, Bye Bye and "C u soon" are in the pipeline. And loads and loads of scantily clad women who love to chiggy-wiggy at the drop of a hat.

For a story, the goofy philandering husband track has been revisited. They are so amateurish that how they get to fool even one girl is difficult to understand: here they are cavorting around with as many as 20 different babes. For good measure, Bazmee has added a goody-two-shoes samaritan track lifted from the timeless "Bawarchi".

Suneil Shetty, Bobby Deol and Irrfan are three play-uncles (all of them are crossing 50, they can't be called boys anymore) in increasing order of intelligence. They are married to Celina, Sonam Kapoor and Rimi Sen respectively. They keep getting caught having affairs with other women, and make one bahana after the other to keep their married life going. Soon the girls hire a private detective Akshay Kumar who has the hots for Sonam Kapoor and seems to be no better than her husband.

The film is a mish-mash of small sub-tracks which take place in Canneddian exotic locales. The moral of the story is that even though husbands might hump every other woman in sigh they still love their wives and wives should give them chance after chance to prove their affection.

Humour? The film has some laughs mostly attributed to Irrfan who is the most talented of the bunch. The writers have also given a few to Akshay Kumar who is trying very hard to regain his form. The girls are simply a waste - Celina Jaitley is absent from the screen for most of the time, which is a good thing in my opinion. Rimi Sen is plump and plays a character which is demeaning to women all over, while Sonam Kapoor had a bad makeup artiste in the first half of the film but luckily got a replacement later. She has dark circles and looks fatigued when she was supposed to be happy, and turns gorgeous when she finds out her husband has strayed.

In fewer words, the film cannot be written off completely, although it is not High Quality cinema. Watch it with a bunch of friends and you will enjoy. view less

Story line- non existent. In short, philandering husbands being taught a lesson by a Pied Piper with a flute. Wish he could have made everyone associated with this film follow him to the end of the world and then thrown them off to writhe in outer space.

Dialogues- puerile and insipid with lines like all men drive cars but have a Stepney too.There is also regressive stuff when AKshay declares that women are helpless and when they find out about their cheating husband they either commit suicide or suffer silently. Get real man!

Acting- adolescent and high school drama variety. What can you expect anyway from has- beens like Sunil Shetty, Bobby Deol, Rimi Sen and Celina Jaitley? Akshay grins insanely in lieu of acting but looks cool. Sonam acts like a lost child rather than a wronged wife. I dont know why Irrfan Khan is in this movie. Surely he is doing well enough in his career that he does not need a movie like this to pay his bills?

The songs- time wasters. Typical Pritam fare that you can dance to when you have drunk a bit too much. Mallika does not move in her supposedly hot item number Razia. And the flute tune which is actually quite beautiful plays on an endless loop and makes you want to snatch the flute and break it in half.

Peurile, insipid, boring, moronic, gross, disgusting, mindless, mind numbing, time wasting. Enough. I am not going to waste any more words or energy on this travesty. I need to go for a massage to recover my sanity.

Reviewing has its perks and disadvantages. I would have never seen this movie if not for reviews. I simply cannot fathom the thought that goes into making this new genre of movies. First of all for reasons only known to the makers this film is called 'Thank You'. As big as a Akshay Kumar fan I have been, rooting for him even when he was in his low phase, I think its time he should stop making such movies. All said and done, this movie is not the worst of the lot in a series of nonsensical comedies churning out each year. You can still pass your time if you ignore the songs but its still nothing you would recommend your friends to see.

Raj, Yogi and Vikram played by Bobby, Suniel and Irfan are best friends and colleagues. Whats more they are nymphs of the grade A. The level of their infidelity is blown out of proportion in the movie. No woman with a sane head on her shoulders will ever live with men like these. But yet Sonam Kapoor's character mind numbingly keeps over looking all of Bobby's tricks. Irfan's character who claims to have solved the riddle called 'woman' is an even bigger womanizer and keeps cheating his wife as a mundane job. In comes Akshay Kumar with his pied piper character where in he dives in to make the men realize the importance of the women in their lives. (Sounds like masti? ). Akshay single handedly brings the 3 men on the right track with one inspirational (read pakao) story in the climax.

The comedy that went into this script was not humorous enough to rattle my funny bones. Some individual scenes were good but the movie as an entirity was yet another disappointment. The core subject of the movie i.e. infidelity is blown out of proportion. The characters are simply not believable.

Music wise, this movie is really weak and al the songs are of the fast forward variety. Looks like Pritam is running out of tunes in his database.

Acting wise, only one actor stands tall in this movie and that is Irfan Khan. He is outstanding and is the sole reason I was able to sit through this movie. Rimi Sen was the next in line. Her comic timing was a joy to watch. Akshay Kumar comes in third with a decent performance. Bobby Deol, is forgettable. Suniel Shetty, Celina Jeitly and Sonam Kapoor are as bad as they can get.

Writer Nisar Akhtar is famous for writing mind numbing scripts (ref: No Problem). With Anees Bazmee at the helm he had full freedom to write nonsensical comedy scenes. Anees Bazmee has not given me a reason yet to like him and it stays that way after this movie. This one is better than some of his newer flicks but still not up there to be recommended.

I AM A MAN, I AM MARRIED, I LOVE TO HAVE SEX with every available girl, be it in the office, on the street or as a last case scenario, even the woman living in my house, a.k.a. my wife!

That is the plot of THANK YOU! 3 husbands whose only agenda in the day seems to be pyaar do, pyaar lo, how do they manage to earn their dal roti whilst quenching their thirst for bahar ki murgi is a mystery. Forget the lavish lifestyles of their wives, whose IQ seems to be on borderline stupid. Entry a marriage counselor, whose job is to catch their husbands in the act with their pants down. Hired by the wives, this under cover agent, seemingly starts falling for one of his clients, which leads to adding a further motive in this case. Does he succeed in his mission? Do the erring husbands mend their ways? Do the loving, caring, shopaholic wives accept their husbands back? For all this and more one will have to watch Anees Bazmees latest comedy entertainer, Thank You.

I went to see No Problem with great expectations, being a huge fan of No Entry and Welcome. I even liked Singh is Kingg in parts, for that matter. No Problem made me realize the number of problems there are around and Thank You, makes me say Sorry!

Raj (Bobby Deol), Vikram (Irrfan) & Yogi (Suniel Shetty) are the 3 husbands. Sanjana (Sonam Kapoor), Karthika (Rimi Sen) & Radha (Celina Jaitly) are their respective spouses. After seeing these 3 ladies on screen, no wonder their husbands have become tharkees. Sonam is atrocious, loud and disinterested, and lets not start about her acting skills. She was bad in her debut, worse in Delhi-6, a wardrobe in Aisha, with some decent looks in IHLS. This adds to her list of non performances.

Celina must have been taken for either old times sake (she was there in No Entry) or she was just hanging around in Canada and happened to drop by for the shoot as and when she felt.

Rimi, hence by round of elimination, is the best of the lot. Rimi does bring some spark and comic timing to her role.

Bobby looks angry, throughout, wonder why. Was it the narration of his character that got him so upset? Suniel Shetty again gives a decent performance, due to his comic timing.
Akshay Kumar seems hell bent on producing nonsensical films and ruining his wifes name as producer. But besides that he is going out of his way to ensure he brings an end to his acting career too. This would be one of his worst films, or at the rate he is going, there is going to be a stiff competition there too

I guess when one starts focusing on quantity, then quality does suffer. We have seen that with Factories in the past. Likewise with Nagesh Kukunoor. Bazmee is the biggest culprit in this disaster movie. There is neither story nor screenplay here. And to top it up, there are 5 people credited for the same. Besides being inspired by No Entry they do nothing. The humour is pedestrian at best. The dialogues laced with bastard, comparing men to dogs, wives to spare tyres are supposed to be funny?

Besides the Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo and moderately the Mallika Sherawat item, Razia the music by Pritam is bad. Cinematography by Ravi Yadav is excellent. Am sure Canadian Tourism will be happy with him and the makers.

The only saving grace about the film is the ever dependable Irrfan. His straight faced humour is the only reason one should waste their time, money and effort to watch this film.

Thank you Anees Bazmee for proving time and again that mediocrity can also pay well. We are Ready for more.

Thank you writers (this one has 4) for messing up the subject of marriage and infidelity and managing to not make me laugh out loud even once.

Thank you Akshay Kumar for not being irritating and underplaying your over enthusiastic style of acting and also for making me immune to such kind of films.

Thank you Bobby Deol for showing us to pronounce divorce as dievorce.

Thank you Sunil Shetty for being the only entertainer in the bunch and promoting your good friend Vijay Mallayas brand by singing oo la la la aae o several times in the film.

Thank you Irrfan for doing this role with a zen like calm.

Thank you theatre owners for allowing kids without their parents for a movie about marriage and infidelity. Why would the kids want to watch this film still amazes me?

Thank you Celina Jaitley for being absent in most part of the movie, Sonam for a delivering a screechy performance & Rimmi Sen for performing an inconsequential role with so much dedication.

Final few words: Thank you for reading this. If this doesnt convince you to stay at home I have no problem. You are welcome to enter a no entry zone

If this gets you ROFLing on the floor, Thank You is for you, and so is a session with a shrink.

For no person with a sane mind can sit through this drivel and actually enjoy it.

The film is a redundant tale of men who can't keep their trousers on and their wives who don't get tired of praying for their philandering husbands' long life. Akshay is a detective that the wives "hire" to teach their better halves a lesson. Rest of the mangled plot is a putrid mess of sleaze, insensitive jokes, skin show and hormones.

What surprises me more is that Anees follows up the moronic "No Problem" with something that is even worse.

Why would an actor of the caliber of Irfan Khan chose to do this film is beyond me. Akshay, currently on a career-harakiri mode, outdoes his last sleepwalking role. Sonam Kapoor is ingratiatingly irritating. Others in the film are hell bent on outshining each other in mediocrity.

Why aren't such films banned already is a mystery. Why such films get A-listers like Akshay to act in them, is an even bigger mystery.

Stay clear and miles away from this. It is one thank you, you would never wanna listen to!
