Shreyas Talpade puts all his comic talent not only in acting but direction in this fairly enjoyable film. A story about three young men who are put to huge embarrassment when posters with their photos are splashed all over as having undergone vasectomy thogh they were nowhere near. Sunny Deol's sister's engagement gets cancelled, Bobby Deol's domestic life goes topsy-turvy and Shreyas's engagement also runs into rough weather. How all 3 get together to fight out for regaining their honour and expose the agency responsible forms the rest of the film. There are many well presented comic scenes which elicit laughter and punchlines are good. However there are some areas which don't amuse and the climax itself is over stretched. On the whole a good comedy.

Poster Boys is a comedy drama that delivers a social message on a taboo subject - vasectomy as an option for family planning. This is in contrast to women being made to carry the burden to restrict the size of the family. The days of emergency were the days of compulsive methods being adopted to achieve the targets as regards contraception. The family planning department of a particular state got publicity material to be splashed all over to invite men to opt for vasectomy. The poster carried the king size photograph of three men- all living and belonging to the same locality .The mere circulation of the poster acts as a stigma against all three in the male dominated society. How do the trio go about to erase this 'stigma' is the rest of the story. Taking an over all view PB is a success. The performances are uniformly good. Sunny Deol ,an ex - serviceman ,paired with Sonali Kulkarni ,takes the lead. His sister's marriage had got cancelled because he is one one among the Poster Boys. Bobby Deol ,a school teacher ,has to face taunts from her Shashi Kala type son longing wife Samiksha Bhatnagar. Shreyas Talpade is unable to marry her love interest Tanvi Maire. How is the 'stigma' erased'.?Partly by impregnating the spouse/ girl friend and partly by adopting a novel method to shake the powers that be who are made to beg pardon for their ' over zelousness' in publisizing the unwilling to be ' brand ambassadors ' of the government's vasectomy programme. The role of the media in siding with the protestors needs to be appreciated. Both men and women must be made to realise their voluntary sacrifices to curb the family size. The supporting cast is not far behind. Sachin Khedekar,Murli Sharma,Bharati Achrekar,Ashwin Kalsekar shine in their cameos. Ajay Devgan,Tushar Kapoor,Arshad Warsi,Ganesh Acharya and Parineeti Chopra act as the 'cheer leaders' in the ' naked protest brigade'. The one liners with apt comic timing provide the humour. A mere ' sperm test' was enough to erase the stigma .Resort to 'defematory protests' against the government provides the drama. All in all PB is a watchable movie with a realaxed mind.
