Javed Jaffery’s Wife in Salaam Namaste
An extremely underrated comic performance in Bollywood is probably Javed Jaffery in Salaam Namaste. As a desi turned self styled Australian hick who hates Indians, he keeps mumbling theories about Indians in incoherent English. However, after every dig he takes at Indians, his Australlian hottie wife just says ‘Sorry’ with utter confusion and lack of interest. Even though it was a small recurring joke in the film, it has been the inspiration behind many jokes, memes, and wisecracks.
