“Besharam is a formulaic masala film where actors bring more to the table than the writers. The film has its moments and Ranbir Kapoor saves the day in an otherwise disappointing film.”

I have just walked out of one of the worst films this year. There, cut straight to the chase.

Its got fart jokes, shit songs (about 7 of them), stupid villians, no storyline and the superstar I admire, Ranbir Kapoor trying to salvage a plot as thin as a Dominos Pizza.

Babli the mechanic falls in love with Tara, a hot shot corporate exec who drives a swanky Mercedes. She humiliates him but he still loves her. The car thief that he is, he accidentaly steals her car and the film is the journey of them going to the north, singing songs, getting it back, beating some villians along the way, and a lesson in family values (because Babli is an orphan and takes care of a lot of kids).

The songs by Lalit Pandit are disastrous and too many. The runtime is excruciatingly long and the humour is non existent.

The performances only have Rishi & Neetu who truly nail it as Ranbir stutters to a somewhat charming performance. Pallavi Sharada - no comments.

Abhinav Kashyap, whos cocky demanour after his first blockbuster didn't quite impress me fails as a storyteller. This has to be one of the most amateurish efforts in filmmaking with a man like Ranbir & those budgets at his disposal.

Goes to show that Salman was all that salvaged his first outing.

I dont think I should waste any more time in stating, PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS. It is harmful to your health, wallet & sanity. I am all for mindless masala films, infact even like them, but this is purely atrocious.

I dont even think this will hit the big numbers, or atleast it doesnt deserve to.
