An interesting film on real events which is worth seeing This film is based on actual events of a decade back regarding an economically poor 5 year old wonder boy of Orissa who could run non stop for many miles. Manoj Bajpayee plays a Judo trainer Biranchi Das who accidently discovers the high physical stamina of 5 year old Budhia after he punishes him to run around the training area and finds him running continously till evening. Thereafter he trains Budhia to run long distances. Sure enough Budhia becomes famous and controversy develops since the govt officials and child rights organisations feel that the young boy is being forced to run against his wishes. They pressurise Manoj to abandon the exercise and also put a ban on his running. Despite these hurdles Manoj continues to coach Budhia to run long distances with the dream of winning in the Olympics. A major portion of the film focusses on the marathon run of Budhia from Puri to Bhubaneshwar after which he collapses due to fatigue. Direction by Soumedra Padhi is impressive and the film is quite engaging. Credit must be given to young boy Mayur Patole for his sincere acting as Budhia. Manoj as the coach has given a good performance. The supporting cast is adequate.
