“Chor Chor Super Chor has funny moments but can't save the film from its half-baked scripting and execution.”

When I had to get up early this morning & go for Chor Chor Super Chor, I was quite cheesed off. With a half-asleep soul, I strolled in to watch this comic fare with brilliant actor Deepak Dobrial as the lead. How did it turn out?

Surprisingly, this half-baked adventure turned out to be slightly better than I thought.

In this wave of new age semi-Indie's that have been hitting Bollywood in the last 2 years, many have lost track of what a good script is. They start of with a lot of soul but end up being half-baked masala films & end up in a downward spiral of melodrama.

This is one of those. The story of a small-time Delhi thuggie, it takes us from small choor, uchakkas & pakitmaars to a love angle that makes him want to change his life. In that process, he gets involved in the creation of an interesting & unique world of reality television. Is the girl what she says she is? Will they end up together. Watch & find out.

The film has a few funny moments but for the most, is slapstick to the core. Deepak Dobrial tries hard to salvage this venture but alas, he alone cant carry this one on his shoulders. His lack of screen presence is quite visible & beyond a point, you really cant keep watching him & his antics.

From the umpteen number of films playing this weekend (22 including the backlog I hear), go watch stuff like Milkha, Conjuring, Theseus & many more. This one is ok, but can surely be given a miss. I unfortunately didnt have that opportunity.
