Coffee Bloom is one of those movies that tries really really hard to be great, but in the process ends up being 'meh'. The actors have put in good performances, but the story lets them down. It's a bit too dull and unrelatable and drags on way too long in some sequences.

Dev is a man who's clearly not been dealt a good hand in life. After breaking up with his girlfriend, he makes bad decision upon bad decision until he ends up selling his coffee plantation. After his mother dies, he sets out to fulfil her last requests, which is to spread her ashes in their old plantation. He discovers that unbeknownst to him, the plantation was bought by his ex girlfriend and her now husband. This results in many emotional scenes interspersed with utterly boring

ones where all of them wait for the coffee to bloom.

Coffee Bloom has a fairly interesting premise, but very little of its potential is realised on screen. There are far too many dull scenes for one to keep their interest long enough. Its not poor in any way, but other than the actors' performances, there isn't anything great about it either. You can skip this one, unless you're extremely bored this weekend.
