Force 2 is a full on action movie. Which means we see John Abraham in full glory, shirt off, short towel, every sinew and muscle rippling at the slightest hint of danger. Accompanying him is our very own Dumpling, Sonakshi, who is all set to become India's answer to Lara Croft. This is her second action movie after Akira. She doesn't get to do so much action here, the screen being hogged more by John but she looks the RAW agent part in her pantsuits and sharp hairstyle. And she fires a couple of shots which is I guess more than enough.

The story is simple enough. RAW agents are being killed in different parts of the world and RAW has to find out who is behind these acts. Enter John whose best friend is one of the agents killed. He needs to be in on the chase though he is only a Mumbai police guy because RAW agents killed in the line of duty apparently are disowned by the Government and shown as traitors. He cannot stand that and he joins KK played by Sonakshi in tracking down the villain.

The action is fast and furious with plenty of car chases and foot chases and shootings. Lots of bad guys get bashed up and shot at by our duo. The action is well done and will be a treat for action movie fans. The story luckily doesn't show any brewing romance between the lead pair (probably saving it up for the sequel. Or maybe next time we get a new heroine). The only emotional part of the movie comes from the villain.

John is in his element as action hero. He doesn't have to emote much which is just as well. A couple of wry jokes and a slight smile is the only concession to anything other than action from him. Sonakshi takes his lead and keeps emotions under wraps except for one crying fit which is very unlike a RAW Agent. Tahir Raj Bhasin as the villain is pretty good. He is mocking and smart, enough to raise the hackles and muscles and sinews of our leading man. Genelia plays a sweet, short cameo as John's dead wife. I hope she comes back soon to the movies.

Force 2 is fun to watch. It is snappy and sharp and doesn't tax you too much in the brains department though the drool department may work on overdrive. Go and enjoy.
