Golmal Again is not a classic. Yet its biggest achievement remains that it is worth your ticket money. It belongs to the watch it in the theatre and leave it there genre. It entertains you so long as you don't want a movie with great content depth.

The plot is simple Tabbu is Anna, after a long time she is in a light hearted movie a relief for her as well as her fans. Before we made her the leading light of heavy movies she did some good comedy stuff, in the 1990s super hit "Biwi No.1" she was the show stopper as the sardarni wife of Anil Kapoor. So Anna can see ghosts and one of them is connected to her own backyard. The story of the ghost is connected to a case of a hungry businessman's land grabbing ambitions - any further detail will be a spoiler so I will stop here.

Fate brings Anna , the five golmal men and Parineeti who we are told is Damini together to an orphanage where the whole story unfolds.

The movie has some real laugh your gut out moments. The ones where the ghost speaks in the voice of Nana Patekar and both Vasooli and Babli hang in mid air on a bed will actually make your tears come out. Vrijesh Hirji comes back as the snake tattoo man again and his character has been given a good twist.

A lot many would want to call Rohit Shetty movies as wafer thin plot spectacles, but we need to give him credit for a fact that he has created comedy movies without using double meaning lines or vulgarity. The should be appreciated.

The sharp comedy lines like - uske pass figure hai aur tu father hai keep you engaged.

The support cast which has been in all Golmal movies has been used and used well. Particularly Johny Lever gets a good outing after a long time.

Watch it if you want to add to the fun of a long Deewali weekend, so long as you don't expect a Oscar winning classic you will not come out disappointed.
