Verdict

“I M 24 is funny in parts but mostly boring. The cliches ruin what could have been an entertaining comedy. Skip it.”

Rajat Kapoor & his Motley crew is back, this time with Saurabh Shukla at the helm of affairs. Attempting a rom-com with a difference, is this worth a ticket spend?

A film that could have genuinely been much more entertaining, this one is best seen on cable TV.

Shubhendu (Rajat) is a balding 40 year old who fancies a young pretty girl (Manjari). He befriends her online & takes the help of his friend, roomate & perpetual liar Gagan (Ranvir Shorey) to make-up stories to impress the girl. Also on a parallel track, the film covers the funny side of Bollywood & what strugglers have to face.

As the lies begin to mount, the film eventually turns for the tried, tested & boring cliches and eventually covers a message of 'its not about the outside, its whats on the inside that counts'.

Part-funny, part-boring, this is a film where once again, the runtime plays the villain. Cut the flab & this was a definite timepass watch.

Rajat Kapoor is decent & Ranvir Shorey shines above the rest. The women are strictly ok.

Director Saurabh Shukla is surely a talent, but I strongly believe hes a better writer than a director.

To sum it up, I M 24 is a film better than the ridiculous title but still not worth the 250 bucks in the theater.
