This is a fairly absorbing film which keeps you hooked from the beginning with the twists and turns in the plot. The suspense is cleverly woven into the script even though a couple of developments do not appear plausible.
Manoj Bajpayee and Tabu ( with babe in arms) both meet on a trip, get to know each other and check into a hotel in Mauritius. They have a romantic night and later the child is missing. It is speculated by the local police chief ( Annu Kapoor) that the child may have been kidnapped. The suspects are the local staff of the hostel.
As the investigation progresses and all suspects are questioned the police find a number of loose ends and some activities are suspicious or " illogical " as police officer Annu Kapoor puts it. Since both Manoj and Tabu are married they are worried that their night together may strain their marriages and make efforts not to disclose this making them all the more suspicious.
Director Mukul Abhyankar makes the proceedings engaging enough with surprises at every corner. The narrative is reasonably smooth and it remains interesting. The story is set on a time duration of a day or two. Performances by Manoj and Tabu fit the bill. Annu Kapoor acts competently as the police chief.
