Raabta,an Urdu word, stands for connection.Unfortunately, the movie under review has no Raabta with the paying viewers.A colossus waist of money, effort and time.
Why? Raabta is a two period love triangle spaced by thousand of years.
We have two Sushant Singh Rajput( Jalal and Shiv Khattar),two Jim Sarabh( ? and Zak Merchant),two Kriti Sanon( Sahiba and Saira),yet in no role does any one shone. Two lyricists(Irshad Kamal and Amitabh Bhattacharya),yet none out of four is worthy of being mentioned. Two editors( ? and ?),yet the running time is not cut to proportion. Two Choreographers ( Ahmed Khan and Ashley Lobo),yet no worthy dance number. Two background music directors ( Sachin and Jigar) ,yet the score is poor. Two writers( Siddharth and Garima ),yet not even ordinary.Sample these lines -' Tum itne chotte kapade kyon pehanti ho?'; ' girls honey trap men'; ' lumbi ladkiyan dance nahin kar sakti';' yeh helicopter mere peechay Osama maankar pada hai';' ladki hero ke peeche kum aur heeron ke peeche jyada bhagti hai'.
If you have seen Mirzya, you have seen the first period story. The second period story is being put out in any movie.
The first period cinematic effects are ok.
Deepika Padukone's special appearance is forced.
Varun Sharma's gay role is irrelevant.
Raj Kumar Rao's oldie get up is plus for the make up man.
Precious foreign exchange is waisted in shooting in Budapest.
What more?
Better keep away.
