Wedding Pullav is like a pullav-lots of bland fare with added peas and carrots to give it some colour and a few spices to add  some tepid flavours.

The story is hackneyed. Tow best friends discover they are in love with each other when they are all set to marry some other people. And so on and so forth.

The movie is like an extended wedding video with haldi and sangeet and dancing etc. There are emotional moments when the couple realized they are in love with each other and a few moments between the couples about to be married. All very ho hum.

The performances are strictly ok. Dighant is pleasing to the eye and I liked his screen presence. Anushka Ranjan who plays the best friend turned true love shows a spark though she can’t handle the crying scenes. Karan Grover and Sonali Shegal who play the cast asides are ok. There is also Satish Kaushik, Himani Shivpuri, Kittu Gidwani and a few other well known stars and bafflingly Rishi Kapoor who seems to have strayed in by mistake.

This movie is not terrible but it has nothing much to recommend it either. I would recommend giving it a miss and watch the more ‘masaledar’ biryani of Pyar ka Panchnama instead.
