This could have easily been counted as the 'humbug' movie of the year, but thankfully, they didn't promote it at all. The audiences have been saved. I, however, ain't that lucky - today I have been shamelessly cheated out of my money. Instead of the horror (which was still a reason to watch it - am I bonkers that I will pay to watch Jimmy Shergill's acting prowess ?) they gave us 2 lame stories, separated by an interval. The horror you can imagine at home, perhaps when you check your wallet and realize the skullduggery.

Jimmy Shergill has a flat, and a girlfriend - he loves the former more. Fights with his parents to stay alone there. Gets a US visa, hops on a plane: pregnant girlfriend left to fend for herself. Meanwhile, friend Sanjay Suri gets the flat on rent, goes to Manali, comes back with a village belle (Hazel playing 'gaaon ki gori' - only justifies the 'gori' part), they marry and stay in 'the flat'. But Sanjay Suri is a bad bad man - he is already married, and wanted some sort of 'badla' from Hazel's daddy. Thus poor girl, who is mentally deranged (they dont show it, but I know - by the way she giggles and asks stupid questions) gets pregnant, and dies while the baby is being aborted. Turns into exotic 'bhoot', who doesnt let original houseowner (Jimmy) to leave until he brings back friend Sanjay home.

Also, Jimmy's father tries to have his way with Hazel once, so the bhootni is justified in killing her. And in the end, Jimmy boy knows better than to leave pregnant wives and girlfriends in the lurch - he goes back, lest this one turns into a bhoot too.

The first half (only 45 mins) is used up in developing Jimmy Shergill's story, and as soon as I was hoping to get some goosebumps, baam! It's Interval time. Shell out a hundred bucks more for popcorn. The second half starts with Sanjay Suri's story, and again, after 45 odd minutes, when I was gearing up for the heebie-jeebies, ta da! It was time to go home.

The non existent horror is inspired from Grudge - the flat is similar, and the bhoot is not using Clinic Plus or Vatika - she keeps losing hair, here & there. They also show around 5-6 songs in the 90 odd minutes of runtime - I went to see a ghost prancing around hapless humans, not a village belle donning ghagra cholis dancing around hapless kids.

Awarded 1 star, solely for not going completely C-grade, like Mallika and Hisss. Those were even worse.
