Verdict - A super mix of comedy and crime !

There are movies that create a place for themselves purely by their screenplay and the conviction by which the director has executed them. Andhadhun is one such movie. I for one will not be surprised if in the next 3-4 years this movie is considered a crime and dark comedy classic.
The movie opens with A blind Ayushman playing Akash a pianist who wants to win a competition and move to London. He does not know what his fake blind act will land him in. He becomes an unwilling witness to an act of murder which is committed by Simi Sinha (played with such magical depth by Tabbu) and her lover Mahendra ( Manav Vij). The movie has so many twists and turns that after a point you lose count and you give in to just enjoying the ride because slowly you realize that you are no match to outguessing this epic unpredictable screenplay that Sriram Raghavan has written. The movie is all about a game of cat and mouse that unfolds between all the dark and greedy people and how Ayushman keeps his internal goodness intact and comes out of the whole sordid story as a winner.
The movie reaches its climax with a positive ending but before that the director treats you to the most remarkable story threads matching , my personal favourite is the opening scene rabbit and the hunter , I will not tell you about that too because that will also be a spoiler.
The movie has such brilliant comedy moments like a jealous wife shooting at the bathroom door while the husband is safely parked on the top of the washing machine. The scene where Tabbu and her lover are clearing the murder tracks thinking Ayushman is blind. This movie will bring you to tears by laughter when you least expect it.
The screenplay besides being flawless has such remarkable characters in it like the lottery seller mausi and Dr.Swami played with such casual confidence by Zakir Hussain. You will love each and every character of this movie and will marvel at the way the director has kept all of them important till almost the last frame of the movie. A mention of this movie cannot be complete without a mention of the effort of Radhika Apte as Ayushman’s love interest in the movie.
This movie is probably one of the best super paced entertainers in a long time from Bollywood . Do not miss it.
