Verdict - Extremely lacklustre and dull

Dangerous IshhqWatch trailerRelease date : May 11, 2012

Watching Dangerous Ishq can be a very taxing exercise for the mind, for from the very first scene a thousand questions pop up in the mind. What was the point of the movie? Was Vikram Bhat really "directing" this film? Was the cast aware that there was some "acting" needed on their part or did they imagine graphics to take care of that too? Was it really necessary for this film to be made in 3D? Where was the thriller part? And last but not the least, was the Dangerous in the tittle a forewarning?

The answer to the last question is the only one we have after watching the film- yes, it is really dangerous for the sane mind to sit through this drivel.

Krisma is a super model whose fiance Rajneesh is kidnapped. While the police scourge the interpol no less to find the criminals, our comeback lady decides to heed to voices and visions from her past lives and find her missing fiance. Lest one assumes this to be a small task, she regresses into three of her past lives spanning 500 years (500 years and just three lives? ) and different eras.

Dangerous Ishq is mounted on a very flimsy idea that never seems to have taken shape beyond the first five minutes of drug induced ideation that possibly would have given birth to it.

The film reeks of mediocrity that can make c grade Ramsay brother films look like classics. Listless dialogues and lazy direction make proceedings on screen look pathetically amateurish. It is as if every single person involved with the movie was having a bad spell- right from the director Vikram Bhat who gave us Raaz not so long ago to the otherwise dependable Himesh whose music literally wants one to go deaf.

As for performances, the makers seem to have convinced not just Karisma but a lot of other out of work actors to make a comeback with this venture. Gracy Singh, Arya Babbar, Divya Dutta, Jimmy Shergil,Ruslan Mumtaaz, the list of out of mind out of sight actors in endless.

What made Karisma chose this as her comeback vehicle is another mystery altogether. She, like the film itself, is stuck in her past where mediocrity worked and made her a star. Hindi cinema has changed since the lady lasted tasted success, unfortunately Karisma is yet to realize that. She looks gorgeous, acts as horrendously as ever and retains her bad choices of films,

Dangerous Ishq is the kind of film that can kill the urge to live in any sane person. Karisma herself wouldnt want to act for a long long time if she can sit through the film's running length without wanting to regress into a coma. She perhaps had no choice than to do the movie. Thankfully, you have a choice not to see it. Stay clear.
