I have not seen the first part of this movie so thankfully you are spared my usual rant about how sequels never live up to the original etc. Instead, I will give you a new rant on how directors and script writers make movies for under-10 year old audiences and expect grown-ups to pay exorbitant multiplex ticket rates to see their trash.

I was dumbstruck in the first half of the movie at the goings on, on screen. Arshad, Ashish Choudhary, Javed Jaffry and Riteish Deshmukh variously shrieked, contorted their faces, twisted their limbs, spouted inanities and expected me to be rolling in the aisles and possibly throwing money on the screen in sheer delight at their antics.

By the second half, a fortifying tea and samosa later I was more into the groove of things and actually laughed at a couple of hilarious scenes (maybe I had dumbed down enough by then). The story sort of solidifies in the second half and because of that, the histrionics tone down. The actors now have something concrete to do instead of treating us like fish in an aquarium forced to watch children making faces at them on a rany afternoon.

The story (and I will keep it short) is about two sets of crooks-Mallika, Kangana and Sanajy Dutt on one side and the four buffoons on the other trying to outwit each other.

The songs are cluttered as usual with firang ladies in flimsy clothes and too much clutter to make out anything. The jalebi song has a beat that is lifted straight off Sheila ki Jawaani which does not make it any better or anything.

I wish I could act in a film like this. Imagine getting to fool around in Macau and generally act like you are punch drunk, wear nice clothes and get paid to have a good time. The actors have had a blast fooling around with accents and mimicking other actors (where are you Johny Lever?) and costumes (how Ashish Choudhary loves drag!). I liked Kangana and Mallika's presence in the movie though. They add a nice touch to it. Sanjay Dutt is the only one who gets to act a bit sensible, the rest are completely over the top.

If you like your laughs brain dead then you will find this movie a dhamaal watch.
