Verdict - A romance that falls flat on its face.

Having a premise where a girl studying in a foreign country gets annoyed by the security officials around her because her father is the Prime Minister of India, Ishq Forever is just like thousands of other romances you've seen. Not a spark flies between the leads and with an utterly ineffective supporting cast, it's a sordid affair where pretty locations is all you get to stare at through its runtime. It moves at a half- decent pace throwing one (silly) twist after another at you so the at least don't doze off of boredom, but shouldn't we be expecting slightly more bang for our money? These past few weeks, Bollywood has really taken the whole generic-cliche game to a whole new level. First came the undistinguishable-from-one-another Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 and Mastizaade; then came two weepy romcoms titled Sanam Re and Sanam Teri Kasam. This week, the three releases (apart from Neerja) are called Ishq Forever, Direct Ishq and Loveshuda. It's like they aren't even trying anymore, not even with something as superficial as the titles.
