As expected Kick turned out to be better than jai ho but only a bit. The 1st half after introduction of salman and before the action starts bore you to death. The second half is comparatively better. What works is the dialogues, jumme ki raat, yaar na miley(this song comes at an unexpected time and adds charm)some of the action sequences (some did feel quite tacky)and above all.....nawazuddin!! Sadly he enters in the second half and there is not much screentime given. Randeep is pretty good too but its still hard to believe that a supercop cant catch a thief even when the thief himself says the date, time and place of his next steal!! Jacqueline has screen time but the film starts to bore you when she is there. There are interesting cameos of several comic actors which comes as a surprise and for me they were the ones who provided a comic relief. Ultimately Salman doesnt come off as a grey character here. He plays the same role as he does in practically every film. Altogether it is a decent watch if you dont focus on the story but still it isnt as entertaining as ready.dabanng and even dabanng 2. It lacks the slick and smart action of ek tha tiger. Go out there with little expectations. If you ask me which would I choose between dhoom3 and kick, I would say the former.
