    Verdict - Torture.

Kya Kool Hain Hum 3Release date : January 22, 2016

So "Kya Kool Hain Hum 3" is really a shitfest, and most of what's wrong with it is instructive of what's wrong with our - both the filmmakers' and the audience's - mindset in general. There's silly humour handled with style, and then there's just plain silly and lazy filmmaking. Umesh Ghadge's "Kya Kool Hain Hum 3" is the latter. Why do these filmmakers think that anything related to sex in a film has to seem like it was written by 12 year olds? Why can't we make a mature and genuinely wacky sex comedy like Spike Lee's terrific recent film "Chi-Raq"? Or if that's too high an aim, maybe our very own "Delhi Belly", which was pretty clever in its own right? How long before audiences stop lapping up asinine stuff like this? The film is made up entirely of endlessly regressive jokes. Why is nonchalant misogyny still funny to so many people? Why do filmmakers think that the sight of Tusshar Kapoor in a drag will be funny to audiences? I'm way too exhausted by "Kya Kool Hain Hum 3" to write an agitated takedown of it, but why do these filmmakers use the tag of commercial cinema as an excuse to disguise just how braindead their films are? Why don't these filmmakers realize that sex comedy is a genre where there very much is plenty of scope for intelligence and innovation? Why do they think that raunchiness is the same as being offensive? So yeah, in summary, "Kya Kool Hain Hum 3" is sloppy, regressive, contains images which are literally the stuff of nightmares and is plain boring. But don't be mistaken, all that is not because it aims at being a mindless entertainer but because of the abysmal standards of entertainment we've set for ourselves.
