Verdict - The movie will take you down the memory lane with this quirky love story of two best friends.

Meri Pyaari BinduWatch trailerRelease date : May 12, 2017

Meri Pyaari Bindu is pleasing; it takes you to a trip down the memory lane with the evergreen melodies and old cassettes. The makers unfolded the movie in five bitter sweet chapters, each one of them creating more anticipation amongst the audience. Every song in the movie hits the right chord, and the pairing is as fresh as the mood of the film.

Abhimanyu, (Ayushman Khurana) who's been writing novels like "Chudail ki Choli" has come to Kolkata to rejuvenate his writing, and get inspiration from his roots to complete his romantic literature novel which he's been trying to write for three years. But, the city is filled with memories. Memories of his childhood crush Bindu (Parineeti Chopra). She is bubbly, wild, strange yet an adorable girl who wants to do a million things but most of all she wants to become a singer. Abhimanyu Is Bindu's best friend or like she calls him "Her terrace room" who can solve all her problems, who she knows is just a call away in any kind of emergency.

In a turn of events, her passion for singing pulls them apart. There is puncture in this fairytale of Bindu and Abhimanyu.

The mixed tape they made together years ago, becomes the best inspiration and next thing we see is Abhi starts writing about " His Pyaari Bindu " and unfolds to us, their journey from friends to lovers.

Movie makes us nostalgic for the past yet wanting to see new. It does get predictable at parts but the sudden turn of events keep us hooked. The fresh chemistry and Ayushman's overpowering emotions make up for the poor narration.

The movie gives you a dreamy story and perfect music. Parineeti's voice will immediately catch your fancy as you hear "Abhi na jao Chhr kar" in her magical voice.

The climax is as quirky as the film is, it will leave you questioning. The movie has flaws but Parineeti, Ayushman and the soulful tracks keep the film together.
