Gritty and grim alright with some arresting scenes but lacks a credible narrative

Verdict - Can see if you have nothing better to do
This film has some impressively well shot scenes along with generally good performances by Nawazuddin Siddique and Tanishtha Chatterji but that is not good enough to give it some kind of class. The plot is built on familiar lines focusing on police-gangster-politician nexus and there are plenty of scenes of the dirty underbelly of metropolis Mumbai.
True to the title, most scenes are shot in heavy downpour and since it is overdone, we find that after some time it becomes jarring and loses its impact.
Director Amit Kumar appears to be inspired by the work of directors like Vishal Bharadwaj, Anuraag Kashyap, and Sanjay Gupta. His presentation of the scenes is also praiseworthy but for good story telling he needs to focus on the narrative aspects much more than smart taking of individual shots. He has no doubt extracted good performances from all actors and this aspect has become the saving grace of the film.
