OMG Oh My God!Watch trailerRelease date : September 28, 2012

Its only someone of the caliber of Paresh Rawal who can carry an entire film on his shoulders and perhaps it is a star like Akshay Kumar who would allow him to do so. In this film Paresh Rawal's shop is destroyed in a earthquake. His insurance claim is rejected since act of God is not covered, and in a fit of anger he sues God for his loss much to the shock of his family and others.
What follows makes for interesting viewing as he launches his tirade against insurance, religious rituals and practices, traditions, beliefs etc A very strong point of the film is the excellent screenplay and meaningful dialogue. No surprise that the writers have won the National award.
Paresh Rawal keeps questioning the practices of offering milk in temples, lighting candles in church, and offering chadar in mosquesand advocates giving to poor instead. Also the the writings in the holy books have been interpreted in the film in a simple manner without any preaching. .
Perhaps to ensure commercial success an item number " Go Govinda" with Prabhudeva and Sonakshi Sinha has been added which is presented well and does not disturb the flow.
Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Krishna ( in the modern avatar ) has done very well and brought a lot of serenity to the role. The director has put across many debatable points very intelligently leading up to an interesting climax. This is a thinking person's entertainer and should appeal to a large section of the audience.
