Partition 1947 is a bit slow paced but definitely a one time watch for the unknown part of history as well as the performance of all the actors

Actually when you watch movies like Partition 1947 your respect for Prabhu Deva kind of directors grows by leaps and bounds. You know what Prabhu Deva style directors deliver. They deliver pure honest nonsensical entertainment, you don't like it stay away. It is when you walk into movies like Partition 1947 you understand how self obsessed pretentious directors attempt big theory and deliver a zilch practical. You only feel sorry for actors like Huma Qureshi who have to be a part of such glorified going nowhere script movies. The movie has such a non existent screenplay that you keep wondering during its 106 minutes of run time that is it a lesson on the most painful chapter of our history? Is it a love story during troubled times ? is it a grand lecture on humanity above everything? While the fact is it is a half hearted corrupt attempt to deliver so called grand intellect cinema.
