    Raman Raghav 2.0Watch trailerRelease date : June 24, 2016

After making his most disciplined film in Ugly and the good kind of bizarre, indulgent film in Bombay Velvet; Anurag Kashyap takes his indulgences in the opposite direction. Raman Raghav 2.0 is a startlingly weird film, and while that need not necessarily be a bad thing, it's also a crushing bore. It takes pleasure in putting utterly repulsive things on screen and tries to pass off half-assed social commentary that's both banal and presented without any cohesive structure to support it. Kashyap resorts to his pet themes - a premise involving a drug-addled cop and a crooked serial killer, endless shots in dimly lit rooms, a chase sequence through the slums; but the film lacks any organization at all. And when it does get to the point, it seems terribly forced. Kashyap has now perfected the skill of portraying places and people that are practically the living embodiments of hell, but with a screenplay this shockingly misguided, there's little that stood a chance of saving this film.
