Democracies elect governments. But do they also take decisions without outside interferences?Seldom. In real life there's an 'extra constitutional authority' which vets majority of decisions.Vested interests and the populace approach this authority to get their work done. Here in also we have one such ' arrangement'.
By now the ' de facto authority' ( who else but Amitabh Bachchan) has got old,he has lost his sons, the wife ( Ratna Pathak) is on the sick bed. He's a loner, surrounded by a trustee( Ronit Roy).In his hey days he has annoyed many. All kind of vested interests have been refused by him.He has more enemies, conspirators and shady characters to guard against.Whom does he trust? Is it his grand son( Amit Sadh)? Is it some one else?.
He realises that 'politics is a cess pool' ,whose magnetic pool keeps one glued to this stream. The rest of the movie is a ' crime thriller' to unearth the back stabers.Who succeeds?.
What one liked ? The grimness of the plot. The suddeness of the killings. All round impressive performances ( all in cameos). The scene where the Sarkar is attacked by a drone during Ganapati visarjan is well mounted.
Where does one get disappointed? From no where the grand son pops up.Even the grand father takes time to adjust to the relationship.Yami Gautam and Manoj Bajpai get brief roles to shone.Rohini Hattangadi and Jackie Shroff merely mark their presence. The background sound is too loud .The main character
distrusts all.He ensures that the gun keeps his fortress impregnable.
All in all an average presentation.
