    Some movies become a part of greatest movie ever only because of the presence of greatest starcast….a starcast which has the Greatest Thespian Ever & Greatest Superstar ever who are undisbuted King & Shahenshah of Acting and who are endowed to take a performance to sublime heights…and they did not let down in this movie too…A movie which saw the two giants of Indian Cinema act together for the first & last time together…A movie which will remain a Classic because of powerhouse performances of not only these two actors but the other two protagonist too…A movie which was eagerly awaited but it did not receive the applause and box office response in its first outing because of huge & mammoth expectations of critics, classes and masses…But with time, it got its due for the fineness in Direction Acting Music & Screenplay…A story of a honest rightful cop with high values who has a happy family in beautiful wife and a son…Everything seems perfect but a dreaded gangster in settling score, kidnaps the Cop’s only son…The son overhears the conversation of the gangster with his father whose mission is duty over his family…they drift apart, the barriers increases….the understanding quotient disappears…the only bridge between them is Woman who is a Wife & Mother too…n that bridge too is broken when She is killed and the life of the Father & Son not only gets shattered but their approach & principles also confront each other…Ramesh Sippy comes with slick intense Direction written adeptly by Salim Javed with immortal gems by R D Burman & Anand Bakshi…with great supporting cast in Ashok Kumar, Kulbhooshan Kharbanda & Amrish Puri…in pivotal roles the characters performed with ease by Rakhee & Smita Patil…n finally the actors who make this movie an extraordinary affair with powerpacked intense acting….when their eyes convey anger agony pain sorrow lonliness helpness and expression a gamut of emotions…n for this a scene of the movie “when the father & son meet at funeral, there is no dialogue or any physical alibi…eyes and expressions”…this is the moment of great cinema and great actors…Don’t miss this movie starring DILIP KUMAR & AMITABH BACHCHAN….the excellence in Moviemaking and the Performance Power “SHAKTI”
