The movie revolves around bromance of Sonu and Titu challenging romance of Titu and Sweety which is interesting enough to catch your attention. The actors Kartik Aaryan (Sonu), Sunny Singh( Titu) and Nushrat Bharusha (Sweety) operate within their comfort zone when it comes to their acting skills within the movie. The story is helmed on similar concept of Luv Rajan's previous movies and the characters lack freshness.
The story begins with Titu, who is recovering from his latest breakup ( for which Sonu is responsible), decides to get married. This decision is enough to irritate his best friend Sonu who is clearly possessive about Titu and holds somewhat misogynist views for women.
Sweety enters into the movie as the prospective bride for Titu and is smart, sensitive and intelligent.
Sonu's inability to accept Sweety as his best friend's future life partner depicts his need to control other person's life. His problems with Sweety and her family are quite unclear and unnecessary, especially when Titu likes her immensely. Sonu even tries to bring Pihu (Titu's ex-girlfriend) back into Titu's life as he thinks that he can control her easily.
Titu is presented as caring and understanding, and appears as a perfect match for Sweety. Hence, Sonu's ideas are bit baffling to understand as he claims Sweety to be shrewd and manipulative when she tries to impress Titu and his family. Even the ending left me feeling confused and sorry for Titu. I still enjoyed various humorous scenes and one liners, along with the songs which are the highlight of the movie.
If you are fan of Pyaar ka Panchnama, this movie is totally worth your time and money. The film earns points for its cinematography, songs and Alok Nath's non sanskari role.
