Verdict - Good intention, poor execution!

    UvaaWatch trailerRelease date : June 26, 2015

When you choose a socially strong topic and try too many things with it, it kills the mood of the film, rather the very soul of it! This is the problem Uvaa faces as the director Jasbir Bhaati resorts to humor and lame jokes to create a young peppy kinda feel in the first half and then changes the gears of the film suddenly making it very intense which doesn't work for him.

Five friends, rebellious brats from suburban Delhi are sent to a whole new environment of convent school where they struggle to adapt but all becomes well when to they fall in true love. However, one night these boys encounter a rape victim and try to help her out but to their dismay they get framed instead. How they fight out the situation with the help of lawyers, an inspector and their family and teachers is the rest of the story.

Despite veteran actors like Om Puri, Jimmy Shergill, Archana Puran Singh and Sanjay Mishra, the film fails majorly due to poor performances by almost all other actors which seem highly inexperienced when compared to these veterans! A better casting and a better editing would have definitely made it a one-time watch!
