By now, actor Rajeev Khandelwal has carved a niche for himself as an extremely versatile actor. Be it his debut film Aamir or his latest release Showtime (which was released on OTT major Disney Plus Hotstar), this man has only shown one direction of growth- up, up and up! He never fails to surprise you with each performance of his.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rajeev, not just responded to the ban on Pakistani artists, but also gave his opinion on the same. In the aforementioned interview, he said, it was politics (referring to the ban of Pakistani artists), which was very wrong. He then raised a strong question by saying, ‘Logo ko ban karne waale kaun hote hain politicians. Humari politics dictate karti hai kuchh cheezo ko. Jaha pe pyaar badh sakta hai, uss pyaar ko bhi aap badhne nahi de rahe, for whatever reasons’. (Who are these politicians to levy a ban on the people? Our politics only dictates (only) certain things. For whatever reasons, when there is an opportunity to increase love, they won’t allow that (love) to increase also!)

He added that, he just did not understand all that, and that, him commenting (on the said topic) and that him commenting in the same will also be wrong. He added that it was not as if the Pakistan government were sending them (the artists) as their agents! He was not able to understand the whole thing, as he said that he had seen a lot of love coming.

As for Showtime, besides Rajeev Khandelwal, it also starred the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Shriya Saran and Vishal Vashishtha in important roles. While the series has been directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, it has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment.

After having successfully premiered on March 8, the makers released the second season just a few days back.
