IIFA 2022: Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar leave the crowd in splits after they make an entry in donkeys, watch

The 22nd International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) was held in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on June 3 and 4 with much fanfare and was a starry affair. Now as the award ceremony is all scheduled to screen on TV on June 25, many fun promos and glimpses of the same have been shared on social media. The latest one is a hilarious video of Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar making an entry to the event on donkeys.

The promo of the funny video shows Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar leaving everyone in splits as they enter the IIFA awards while sitting atop donkeys. The video sees Shahid saying in Hindi, “Those people who use to make their entries on hummers, sports bikes, through fire are now entering with two donkeys.” Farhan goes on to say, “The donkeys must be thinking the same. I must say Pappu, nice ride.” Take a look at the same which was shared on the official social media handle of IIFA.

While some fans found the promo funny, other netizens weren’t too pleased. These netizens found Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar’s entry on donkeys to be uncalled for and cruel towards animals. One user said, “What is wrong with these people? Why abusing animals for your third class show? while another netizen stated, “This is cruel and making a mockery of animals.” One of the users also tagged PETA India and said, “This is in such bad taste! @petaindia These actors are such hypocrites.” Well, by the looks of it, it seems that Shahid and Farhan have hosted some fun segments at the award ceremony.

Meanwhile, talking about the 22nd IIFA Awards, the main event was hosted by superstar Salman Khan , Maniesh Paul, and Ritesh Deshmukh. The occasion also saw some blockbuster performances by Tiger Shroff, Sara Ali Khan , Ananya Panday , Nora Fatehi, Abhishek Bachchan , Jacqueline Fernandez, and many more. The event will be streaming on Colors at 8 pm on June 25.
