Bladerunner 2049 is a thriller minus the thrill !

I will always remember Bladerunner. I particularly love movies where they run the dialogues in subtitles below the screen, it makes you stay in touch with those real low whispering dialogues and it also makes you actually understand a movie real perfect. So in this context I will never be able to forget Bladerunner 2049, for the first time I was 100% aware of all the proceedings and yet I did not know what exactly is the plot and where exactly is this movie moving.

Bladerunner has been acclaimed for its visual grandeur, I did find the initial dark-fog all over style of visuals , unfortunately the entire movie is dark and pollution fogs etc intense visuals which will only add to your agony of going through the plotless movie. Probably the director was aware that there is no plot in the movie so lets use fog as a back up.So this is one of the most fog rich movies that you will ever see ,minus the Hitchcock style epic suspense.

The usual cyborg or technical tyrant govt vs ill-equipped humans style movies have at least a better understandable plot. Terminator,Avtar,Soldier etc are some movies I recall which were far more intelligent plot movies than Bladerunner.

Harrison Ford actually carries an expression in the entire movie which is more like what I am doing here than that of man forced into hiding on a largely human less planet.

Try this movie on a weekend, it will ensure smooth nice weekend sleep. Don't blame me if you get nightmares.

You can even try watching the 3d version of this movie without the glasses. It will have two advantages. One you will be as good as those who are watching the screen clearly as they would not know what is going on in the movie and so would you. Second you will save the extra cash they charge you for 3D format.

Which also makes me ponder garbage content in 2D does not really look any better with 3D polish so why did the makers release a 3D version too, so that the audience could enjoy the fog scenes ? am still thinking.

Also can those guys at Oscar also give the director a special bravery award please ? I mean one you don't have a screenplay and then you make a 163 minute movie ?

Zero star !
