There are a bunch of degenerates running around, and they are making films - for the mentally deranged. The Crank sequel is one such feature, which is sick, shocking and insulting to any sane human being.

Sample this - The movie shows elbows and nipples being sliced off, and derives humor from people being hit by cars, and being shot in the head. And this is just some of the 'entertainment' that the directors offer - a lot of it is plainly unmentionable.

They go preposterously overboard with the story too - Chev Chelios(Statham) is a hitman (In the first movie, he is fed some poison, which makes it impossible for him to stay alive without an adrenaline rush) who has been captured by Chinese organ traders, replacing his heart with a mechanical one. This new heart needs constant charging, and Chelios uses all means possible - Taser Guns, Car Batteries, Electric poles, and friction to keep himself going while he locates his real heart and avenges his enemies. Accompanying him is his girlfriend turned stripper Eve (Amy Smart) who keeps popping in and out of the frame as per Chev's convenience, while he tracks and kills Chinese gangsters with great aplomb. A couple of other odd characters tag along for a bit, after which they are conveniently disposed to reappear magically at another location to help Chelios out.

The film is designed to feel like an adult video game, with lots of gore and stuff. The camera is placed close to the characters, and most of the shooting is done from myriad angles. Cutscenes, and graphics are also interspersed in between, in an apparent attempt to show something different. The movie albeit feels more like a television serial (in an era where most of the stuff on TV has started to resemble movies).

What comes across as shocking is the shabby treatment - gore and skin show aplenty. Definitely not a film to be recommended.

Do not watch. Spare yourself the horror, and preserve your sanity !
