An all-new comedy adventure featuring the return of (former?) super-villain Gru (Steve Carell), his adorable girls, the unpredictably hilarious Minions...and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.

“Despicable Me 2 is an entertaining sequel which offers plenty of laughs and heartfelt moments. Watch it, especially for the minions.”

Imagine if Teja decides to adopt the kids from Hum Hain Raahi Piyaar Ke and he has an army of Bhallas and Robert (its pronounced Raabert OK) to help him with it. Love Story 2050's Dr Yatinder Khanna is along for the ride. And Mogambo was just faking it when he died in the fire. And Ab Tou Wo Bilkul Bhi Khush Nahi.

Thats what we have coming up this weekend. And it is in 3D. So you know the cutes are cuter, and the fun just keeps coming up right out at you. Despicable Me's Gru is now handling life in suburbia, pesky neighbours setting him up with their single friends, bitya getting jawan and all that. That jam business in the basement aint working and then he gets an offer to get back into the game (but with the good guys) as the anti Villian League decides to "set a thief to catch a thief". In this case Crime Master Gru has to catch a mysterious villain who just keeps sucking in secret labs with a giant magent, and Gru doesnt know yet--also his minions. (He just thinks they are off on holidays--you know like the rest of us with Missing In Action maids). The pretty determined Agent Lucy is signed on as his partner , Gru is still socially awkward..and well you know how this is going to turn out.

The movie has its bits. There are the requisite underwear jokes and blowing of raspberries that will keep the kids happy. And a particularly funny rendition of I Swear (or was that Underwear?) that I would like to see up on a karaoke machine near me sometime soon.

So yes, go go go with your kids. There are no preachy morals which is very very refreshing. And yes my maid crisis is over Imma get me some minions.
