Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents stage of dating, she invites him over for a weekend at her house to meet her parents Missy (Catherine Keener) and Dean (Bradley Whitford). At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of absurd and disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.
Overall the movie is a great social thriller with a horrifying truth. A society which hides its true nature, where a particular race of people are happy to benefit from their privileges and won't fear from doing anything to maintain their luxurious livelihood. A world where the past affects the present and behind the fake face of open-mindedness and equality lies the disgusting and selfish desire to cheat people without accepting them the way they are.
