Jack Reacher was never a film that deserved to be made. A sequel to that, well of course did not merit being made either. Yet , through the wondrous ways nature and human will work, this sequel is out in the theaters, and like everyone expected and feared, is as blah as the original.

Tom Cruise, or Reacher, is on the look out to save his love interest Susan from a devious government plan that has gotten her behind the bars. Thrown into the plot is a possible daughter of his born from a prostitute he favored years ago. Effectively, a detached aloof justice seeking ranger is saddled with ties of family and heart to slowdown an already sluggish set piece that aims to establish another franchise for the ageing lead actor. In simpler terms, boring!

No matter how horrid a film is, Cruise manages to make it worth while with his A league super star charm. Always. Reacher as a character though shuns that very asset of his, making him a dull lackluster presence onscreen.to make matters worse, none of the fun action set pieces from the first part come in here to at least give the adrenaline junkies their money's worth. Save for a climatic showdown, the entire film is a dull stretched piece that just makes you yawn and leaves no impact whatsoever. For a Cruise film, that is fatal. And that is how this cookie crumbles.
