"Left Behind" follows Rayford Steele, who is piloting a commercial airliner just hours after the Rapture when millions of people around the globe simply vanish. Thirty thousand feet over the Atlantic, Rayford is faced with a damaged plane, terrified passengers, and a desperate desire to get back to his family. On the ground, ...more

“Left Behind disappoints with a dismal story line and a poor presentation. A must skip, even for Cage's fans.”

At its core, Left Behind has an interesting enough concept. What would happen if millions of people suddenly disappear? Unfortunately, It answers that question quite poorly. It's a typical B-Movie, but it's not one of those which can gain a fan following over time. This movie has almost no redeeming qualities.

Nic Cage is an airline pilot, who seems to be finding reasons to avoid his family. His daughter Chloe has come to meet him, but he's on a flight to london, supposedly because he doesn't want to be around his overly religious wife. A little ways into his flight, an event happens. People have disappeared from the plane, leaving all their clothes and possessions behind. The same event seems to have happened worldwide, resulting in chaos. Chloe's brother has disappeared right in front of her, and there's anarchy everywhere. Its upto Nic Cage to land the plane safely, and find out if his family's okay.

The entire movie seems like an afterthought. It's not well acted, the soundtrack feels out of place, The special effects are average, and the characters are the most one dimensional people on this planet. No wonder they were left behind. Do yourself a favour and not watch this movie.
