Going by the standards of the movies we have on choice in India. Mission Impossible 6 or Mission Impossible Fallout is the best watch of the weekend. The movie has all the standard elements of the MI franchise. The most expected one being Tom Cruise on the bike and the bike sequence in this movie is absolute thrilling.
This time Ethan is on the tail of a terror group which intends to conduct nuclear explosion across the globe in order to wipe out a large part of human race to establish long term peace. Sounds familiar but as usual the story has enough twists. In fact before the opening titles the director has put in two smart twists which make you ready for the rest of the ride.
It is not that the movie remains all race and fists and guns all the time there is a human element with us getting a glimpse about the pain and complications that Hunt goes through. As an added attraction you have the confident and cocky August Walker thrown in and is played with aplomb by Henry Cavill. The man adds fizz to the movie.
The movie also has some well executed stunts besides the bike one. August and Ethan fighting the Chinese man in the bathroom is one of the better stunts of the movie and so is the end one which has two helicopters practically ramming into each other.
As an Indian viewer you would pay the movie extra attention because the climax unfolds in Kashmir. Yes. I will not tell you why because that would be a bit of a spoiler.
The movie is watchable for the way Tom Cruise builds a convincing aura around Ethan Hunt each time he plays the part and the fact that for all the fatigue that might set in as a viewer around the franchise the director has kept the movie interesting. The cat and mouse moments of this movie remain interesting and that is the way to make a good thriller.
One wishes that some Indian directors who cannot deliver even a good second part and one of them has coincidentally delivered a rank gutter third part of a famous Bollywood movie series just this weekend would learn screenplay writing skills for sequels.

Should you walk in with your expectations in check this one is a superb one time watch – given what we get from our local makers of bollywood and the weekend choices from bollywood are a testimony to that – even this much is enough
My rating 3 stars , personally I could give one star more just for that epic background score !
