My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is like an episode of a TV series spun out of the first movie. The story is flimsy and barely manages to stretch over 90 mins.

Tula's dad realizes that he and his wife of 50 years are not actually married since their certificate is not signed. His wife refuses to accept a simple ceremony saying he should propose to her again and they decide to have a big wedding. In parallel, Tula and Ian's daughter Paris is preparing to go to college away to New York far away from her large, overbearing Greek family. The story follows these two threads mainly apart from trying to rekindle Tula and Ian's romance.

The story is not much but the movie is frothy and fun thanks to the exploitation of every cliche about Greek families and some sharp dialogues that keep us laughing. Everyone has big boobs or big hair and exaggerated accents and it adds to the OTT feel of the movie that tries hard to recreate the magic of the first one.

This is a short movie to watch if you have some time to kill. Won't leave any impact on you but will you in a pleasant enough mood which bodes well for the welfare of the big fat Indian family.
