Alice and her gang of gun-toting, leather clad zombie killers are back for yet another of light and sound show filled with the same kind of moronic logic you'd accord a series of this kind. This time around, to broaden the spectrum of environments, a group of commandos or is it freedom fighters are assigned to rescue Alice (Milla Jovovich) from a large underground research facility in Siberia. The usual stuff happens, explosions, girls in tights, monsters, blah blah blah. All of it is a vicious assault on your senses that will ultimately lead to nowhere and leave you numb by the experience if the lack of logic in the plot hasn't shut down your brain already.

Fans of the video games might find solace in the fact that characters like Ada Wong, Leon Kennedy and Barry Burton are included this time while via a weird twist older characters from earlier films who were thought to be dead are revived. You have to watch the movie to shake your head in disbelief at the reasoning.

The whole plot angle with Alice caring for Becky, the mute girl, is essentially a play on the Ripley-Newt relationship from Aliens and feels utterly superficial here thanks to some truly stilted acting. The 3D is tacky while the effects are good but an overkill. The dialogues entirely unnecessary and the plot non-existent.

Fans of the series might find something to enjoy, fans of the games would do well to stick to the far more entertaining console iterations. I would say, avoid it unless you're a fan.
