Joe Carnahan (Narc, Smokin Aces), i have to say the man has style & a way with action sequences. I do not remember the last time i had this much fun watching something so ridiculous. The movie is a remake of the popular 1980's television show of the same name that had a group of four ex-military ranger turned mercenaries carrying out operations. The movie follows pretty much the same concept except it is in essence the an origin story for the A-Team (short for Alpha-Team).

The action sequences are wildly improbable & that's what makes the movie such a thrill ride. The tongue in cheek tone (much similar to the original show) & humor only serve to make the ride more enjoyable & assure the audience that they are not supposed to take any of this seriously, just sit back & relax. The acting overall is great & so is the camaraderie shared by the four principal members of the team. Sharlto Copley (District 9) is simply "howl"-arious as Murdock the insane pilot of the team, while Liam Neeson is at his best gruff impression to put in a commanding performance as Col. Hannibal Smith. Just loved his cigar-chomping antics & "I love it when a plan comes together" line. Plus Jessica Biel is on as eye-candy.

Usually I'd tell you to avoid a movie like this, but i this is one hell of a testosterone loaded ride to miss out on. An out & out guy flick.
