Titanic is a timeless classic that talks about the love story between two strangers who are united by their journey on board a ship, but torn apart by tragedy. Rose DeWitt Bukator boards a ship called the Titanic with her mother Ruth DeWitt Bukator and Fiance Caldeon Hockley. At the same time, Jack Dawson and his friend strike it lucky and win tickets to ride on the maiden voyage of this large ship as well. Burdened by her situation (upon having to marry a person not of her choosing), Rose tries to commit suicide by jumping off the ship, but is saved by Jack. It is from here that we see a love story blossom between the two as Rose, despite her affluent status and riches, thoroughly enjoys the time she spends with 'drifter' Jack Dawson. As word reaches her fiance that Rose is falling in love with Jack, he has Jack locked away deep within the ship. The Titanic collides with an iceberg and Rose, in a race against time, goes about trying to rescue Jack before the ship sinks completely.  less
