Imagine a world that’s Disney in its design and introduction, but is far more sinister than just about any world Disney has ever created. Tomorrowland is one such world. Dazzling to look at, with quite a lot of substance backing up this style. If nothing else, this George Clooney starrer is interesting. Tomorrowland isn’t flawless, though. The pacing feels off and the multiple flashbacks will wear you out by the end of the movie.

Frank is a former boy genius/inventor and Casey is a seemingly normal teenager whose father works in NASA. They have almost nothing in common, except for one thing. Both of them have access to Tomorrowland; A world where the past, present and the future are all accessible. One can clearly see the repercussions of their actions take place. In this ‘world’ they see that mankind’s actions can turn the earth into a wasteland. It can also become a pillar of civilization, A beacon to show the massive potential us humans have. It so happens, that the earth is heading for one such disaster, whose cause cannot be found and It’s up to this unlikely duo to figure things out.

Tomorrowland is funny, imaginative, witty and downright interesting. Unfortunately some pacing issues making this movie less than perfect. However interesting the concept may be, the plot doesn’t match up. It’s fairly straightforward and very “disney”. However, excellent performances by the entire cast go a long way in papering over the cracks that this movie has. Tomorrowland is definitely worth a watch.
