After a disappointing lot of comedies like The Hangover III, We're The Millers was this years most pleasant surprise.

A drug dealer (Jason Sudeikis) creates a fake family as part of his plan to smuggle a huge quantity of weed into America from Mexico to clear a debt. He brings together a stripper (Jennifer Aniston), a virgin loser and a runaway teen to play the stereotypical "Brady's Bunch" style family that takes a road trip in an RV. Their entertaining journey is dotted with predictable disasters and not so predictable sexual situations which make you hoot with laughter.

Unbeknownst to me, this film was written by the people who gave us the comic classic, The Wedding Crashers. Needless to say, these guys had some pretty big shoes to fill. Even though We're The Millers doesn't quite make it to that level - it sticks to the Hollywood formula of situational comedy/gags and you will probably be able to see where the story is headed from a mile away but - it still works. It works because it never tries too hard.

The seemingly simple jokes are hilarious and there are moments which will give you a hearty laugh. There are some splendid performances by the entire cast especially Jennifer Aniston and Will Poulter (the virgin). Aniston is sheer gold; she may have topped her performance in Horrible Bosses! I also offer a virtual standing ovation for that fantastic stripping scene. Poulter shines in his role due to his superb comic timing and well, his hilarious expressions! But, the scene stealer here is Nick Offerman. Double thumbs up to you, sir!

So all in all, We're The Millers is the perfect weekend movie for you to go and watch with your friends. Have a nice laugh with a refreshing if not perfect film and make sure you stay till the bloopers!
