“Packed with stunning visuals and surprisingly agile zombies, World War Z is a slick apocalyptic thriller. Despite a weak script, Brad Pitt pulls the film through. It's a must watch!”

World war z gets into action mode almost instantly. As usual America is under attack. This time by zombies who have multiplied like a plague. It takes 12 secs for a person to become a zombie after being bitten by one. Gerry Lane ( Brad Pitt) has quit his job with the UN to be with his family. A normal day turns disastrous when the family of four gets stuck in a traffic jam with zombie attacking people everywhere around them. After getting his family to safety Gerry reluctantly has to get back to his old job to find the source of this virus so that an antidote can be created.
The film has enough meat to keep you engaged and thrilled with anticipation but if you are expecting a typical blockbuster disaster film then be prepared to be disappointed. Fans of Roland Emmerich and Michael Bay kind of films can look elsewhere. Marc Foster's direction appears to be confused about what direction to take for this post apocalyptic scenario.
The film suffers from too many writing heads trying to make sense of the structure of the film. After a point it turns from zombie action film to a medical thriller. Amongst all this Brad Pitt doesn't lose his focus and comes up with a pretty solid performance. The climax might leave a lot of people asking for more but if you are comfortable with 'one man can save the world' kind of movies you can very coolly walk into this one.
Word of mouth - World war z is art house sensibility meets epic disaster film.
